Our carpet has been installed, and we are going to buy a couch soon. For the first time ever, we are taking on debt with a capital D. paycheck to paycheck. transferred balances...you get the picture.
oh yeah, in other good news, I have developed ganglian cysts and the beginnings of carpal tunnel and/or arthritis. even as I type this, my knuckle feels like it is going to pop out and my wrist is burning.
fun times. fun times..

And just think, if we were still in college, that subject line totally would've resulted in a "that's what she said" or something similar. With me going "huh?"
Dude dude seriously.
WORKER'S COMP CLAIM!
Dude, get yourself to a doctor asap. RSS surgery *sucks* and the earlier you can nip it in the bud, the better. What you can do in the meantime is request some ergo stuff at work and get some wrist braces to wear (those saved me a lot of misery at night when I would curl up my hands in my sleep and then wake up with pins and needles in some spots and numbness in others).
And ganglion cysts aint no thang - just wack 'em with a book every few months and you should be fine.
Agreed on the ganglion cysts; I just took care of one for my mom a few weeks ago. [Although I use the "rolling press" with the flat of a butter knife instead of a whack. I'm afraid to whack.]
Sure, there's a certain amount of risk in exerting with force a 5 pound book against one's wrist, but you don't *really* have to whack a bible against yourself. On a doctor's suggestion, I've been pushing on mine pretty regularly for about 12 years or so now and I am still alive to tell the tale. In recent years, it has become a necessary evil in order to relieve a little pressure off of my RSS injury in my left wrist (the one that hasn't been operated on).
